I saw the Stevenote demo of Notes in Leopard Mail and I'm wondering how they sync. Do they just act as Mail messages/folders and use the IMAP protocol through Mail or do they use a separate .Mac iSync protocol like iCal events/ToDos? I'm curious if they would show up in another email program if you added your .mac IMAP email account. Similar question for ToDos in Mail. Are they sync'd through iCal/iSync and just read into Mail or are they sync'd using IMAP through a Mail account.

Doesn't Leopard mail now include "Notes?" Wouldn't those be what it syncs to?

Once you get a copy, if it is sending outgoing traffic on ports 8008 or 8443, it is using iCal server.
