I recently bought a Imac G5 with isight, and i'm new at macintosh. Yesterday i upgraded it from Tiger 10.4.3 to 10.4.8. The installation worked fine, but then when i turned on the computer it frooze.

I can se the grey apple, and the loading window for mac os x, starts, but then the screen becomes blue (not bluescreen, more like "backrground blue"), and i cant do anything. I have tried to but in the CD i got with the computer, but it doesnt work. (yes i pressed and hold C)

So please anyone help me! Im starting to get deseperate!

After the chime, press the C key immediately and keep it pressed down until the screen with the Apple and the spinning thing comes up.

Also, please use the standard font and size when posting, changing it isn't necessary and IMO it's horrible.

After the chime, hold down the command key + S. The command key is the one with the apple on it. After it finishes loading, type fsck -fy and press enter. Wait for a while, it may look like it's doing nothing but it is, after a while it will return to # prompt. Do the same thing again and if it says everything is OK try rebooting, otherwise do it again.

I don't know, you really need to do an archive and install but you can't boot from the DVD. What disc are you using?
