Hi,

I use a Mac mini G4 runnung OS X 10.4.8.

I am trying to create a website on my LAN, I don't seem to be able to get it to work. I remember awhile ago I trashed the Site folder and replaced it with my own Site folder, within it is a index.html file. Is there anything I need to do in Apache to get it working?

Root is in /Library/WebServer/Documents

your Sites folder is:

http://yourIP/~yourusername

Yes and no. You can modify your own page in /Users/[user name]/Sites (or the respective localization of this path name). Activate Web Sharing in the Sharing preferences and you're finished.

You can then access the users' pages by http://[ip]/~[(short) user name].
Besson mentioned another directory: its content is what will be displayed under http://[ip]/.
