mac os x has been sluggish lately, and i have had a hard time finding the culprit... will reformating, and reinstalling mac os x, delete bootcamp, or will it leave that partition alone?
and what option would be the best to select?

Reformating your disk will reformat your hardrive. Boot Camp will be removed.
