Recently, I just noticed that the Mac menu bar has a dark streak run across the screen, At first I thought something is wrong with my monitor, so I switched to another monitor, it's still there. Yesterday I was in the Apple store, all Macs in the store has it. Does anyone know why that is?
The cure for that is to turn the contrast all the way up, it makes it less obvious.

A dark streak across the menu bar?

That's normal...it's the glossy look that Apple seems to be heading towards. It's not too distracting either...I find it very subtle.

I have recently noticed that many window backgrounds have some kind of gray - white interlacing. If I turn the brightness all the way down it dissapears, but I can't see anything on the screen.

Y no entienden nada... ¡y cómo se divierten!...

It's one of those things once I know it's there, it starts to bug me. May be I will paint it over with wit out!
