This should help:

Choose a thread title carefully. It should be a super-short summary of the question. Do not announce that you have a question — we already know that, because you wouldn't be posting otherwise. Do not mark your subject with any emphasis like "Need help!", "Please!" "Urgent!", etc. That is just noise that reduces your chances of people reading your thread.

Good title: "Photoshop error on launch"
Bad titles: "Help!", "Photoshop problem!! Urgent!!"

do you have less then a 1Gb of disc space?

That can make OSX act strange.

Also startup of the OSX disc that can with your computer and run 'disc utility' to verify the permissions on the HD.

Hope that helps.

Anyway, that shouldn't happen on a new Mac. Have you somehow filled the hard drive with downloaded porn already? Seriously like MM said, if the startup disk is full, settings won't be saved.

Make a new user account and see if the problem still happens there. If the new account is fine, start trashing some preference files in Library/Preferences inside your home folder. Start with the ones specific to the problems you were having.

For a start thank you for your immediate response!
As i have posted my imac is brand new plus im new in macs so i could not mess with it before i have the basic info about it.
I have a clean and empty disk.
I;ve created a new account and the problem does not appear anymore. But i surely cannot trash anything yet for the reason i've posted above.
I 'll be using this account and as soon as i become familiar with the macsystem i will try to fix it.
Thank you all again

Please don't post the same thread twice, closing …
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
