New imac doesn't keep basic settings

WHy my new imac doesn't keep the settings (e.g mouse keys configuration,dashboard time or weather widget location) after restart?Is something wrong with the mac or is it me doing or did something wrong? please no matter how foolish u think thi question is i really need someone 2 tell me something.

Is it literally a brand new iMac on which you haven't done anything, or did it start happening after you did something? That's definitely not normal, but it's hard to say exactly what's wrong without any information.

Just as one test, though, can you click on the Library folder in your home folder and choose "Get Info" from the File menu? In the info window that comes up, there should be a permissions section. That section should say "Read & Write." If it says something else, that would cause what you're seeing.

I've checked the section u've told me and ''read and write''appears at the 'owner-access' part but not at the ''group'' neither the ''others''(''No access'' is checked)
I cannot recall doing something that could cause this abnormality.Any other ideas?

As a matter of fact i id changed the name of my home folder.U think this caused all mess? How should i fix it now?
