Anyone else getting unexpected quits on apps like Mail, Safari, Toast, Act. Monitor etc? A mate is getting the same on his mini as I am on this iMac. Could it be the recent Security Update do you think?

 iMac Core 2 Duo 17" 2ghz 3gb/250gb ||  iBook G4 12" 1.33ghz 1gb/40gb

Has he recently run a program like Monolingual that can strip languages or binaries he might need?

He has yes, but I haven't.
