Having recently bought a new Mac, I want to sell my old G4. What do I need to do to reset everything, so that the new owner gets the computer fresh, and my user profile, files and private information are deleted. So far, I have securely deleted as much as I can, but I'm fairly sure that some of my files and private data will still be lurking somewhere in my Mac. It's OS 10.3.9, but I also have OS9.2, so I want to cover that too.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Brian

get the install disk, and boot from it. (put in drive, hold C key on startup)

then use disk utility on there to wipe the drive using one of the secure options, and then reinstall the OS on there.
