hi, i have neo office installed and vlc as well... everytime i want to open a doc, it opens with text edit... i changed it to open with neoffice from now on, and it wrks fine for that one file... however, if i open another .doc file, it opens it up with texteidt.. whats' the problem?

I also have thes ame problem for video files, but only with video extensions. iwant vlc, but it opens with quicktime.

Are you clicking the button to "change all documents like this to open with ___ application" in Get Info?
