How unstable Tiger made my computer run!

My specs are: 17 inch Powerbook G4 1.5GHz with 512mb of ram(upgrading to 2gigs)

I recently reformated to OS X 10.3.9 after having some gremlins and everything is back to normal, everything loads much much faster as well.

Will it be worth it to upgrade to Leopard?

Tiger ran a lot faster on my G4 Powerbook.

Since it has a larger memory footprint than Panther, though, 512MB is going to slow it down to below Panther speeds - I had 1.25 GB in the machine I upgraded from Panther to Tiger.

I didn't notice any difference in *stability* - neither system ever crashed on me (apart from once, IIRC, when I connected/disconnected an audio interface but hadn't installed the driver yet).

Tiger is stable for me... the finder is buggy (has been for a long time IMHO) and Safari seems to be a bit crash prone, but good enough.

I wouldn't go back to 10.3.9 for anything.
