I just updated my Software to the New Apple Extreme 2007-001 and once I did that my Macbook's Airport has gone to hell. The Airport Icon in my taskbar never turns black any more and when I click on it to turn on, it does nothing. I've gotten my internet to run wirelessly a couple of times by using the diagnostics, but the results are similar to throwing a dart in a dark room and hitting the right wall.

I would like to revert my airport to pre-february update, so if anyone knows how or is having similar problems, please respond.

You only waited 2-1/2 hours for a reply...patience, young grasshopper...

The way I reverted back when I had issues was to do an "archive and install" of OS X, then run Software Update to get all the pertinent updates EXCEPT the Airport update. You apps and user settings will be preserved through the process, for the most part. You might have to re-enter registration keys for various pieces of software, but that was the only hitch I ran into.

Of course, backing up your data before doing anything is always a good thing.

I'm having the same problem. Is there an easier way than "archive and install"?

Cheers,

No.

Not unless you backup before doing the update and then update. If there are any problems, then restore the backup.
