I was thinking the same thing about the release date, esp. since WWDC was pushed forward to June instead of August.

Do you really think that they will release Leopard?

I guess I just assumed that they would demo all the coolness before confirming a delivery date. Now that Vista has been released, they should spill the beans about anything new... unless they don't want to showcase it as they can't confirm that it will be included.

Has Apple ever "just released the OS" without releasing most of the updates? I guess they have released many of them...

Yeah. Apple's release target was "spring," and coincidentally, WWDC moved forward to the very end of spring.

Who said they still won't demo new features before it's released? Steve could hold another media event between now and June.

good point Philip... I guess there could be a demo before that date. But I don't think Apple has ever had a media event to showcase an OS. I could be wrong.

I would love for a June Leopard release!

WWDC has historically been in late May to late June. Last year's August WWDC was the exception presumably so they could debut the Xeon-based Macs.

That Time Machine picture has to be a hint at a new interface. Goodbye brushed metal.

Please use the existing Leopard sticky thread. This `screenshot' is being discussed there as we speak …
