I would like to move OSX 10.3.9 or everything on my internal HD to a Firewire drive and preserve it as it is so I can install the latest OS on the internal drive, but occasionally boot from the FW to continue some development work there. I know I can copy it all, but can't get it to boot after the copy. How can I "bless" the system to make it boot, or is it imipossible?

Use Carbon Copy Cloner, a free utility you can find on versiontracker.com. You can also buy SuperDuper, which is shareware, but it allows you to make nightly backups in addition to cloning your HD over to the FW one

Thanks...I knew there was a utility to do this but could not remember the name.
