Hallo,

I am trying to have access remotely to a program (graphical) installed in a Linux computer with my Mac Book pro. I use the X11 and I downloaded programs like Fugu to be able to create the SSH tunnel, but there is no option in that program like in putty for windows that enable the X11 forwarding , I am doing something wrong......could you give me a clue please?

thank you very much in advance for your help!!

You can use SSH forwarding using OpenSSH (included in OS X), or else setup VNC. There are several guides on Google about how to do SSH forwarding via OpenSSH.

sshd on the Linux machine must be configured to allow X11 forwarding, some distros disable it by default. You then need to run xterm in Apple's X11 environment and connect to the Linux machine like ssh -X linux-machine.com after you're connected you should be able to run X11 apps on the Linux machine and the windows will show up on the Mac.

I use ssh -Y (trusted X11 forwarding) from within xterm (using Apple's X11) and have had no problems forwarding GUIs from my Linux machines at work to my Mac.
