Well, a month or so ago my hard drive died. It was a bummer, but I got a new one and reinstalled 10.4. Everything is working great except that images don't show a thumbnail preview anymore. All I ever get is the default JPEG thumbnail for everything, it's quite annoying and makes it hard to tell some pictures apart without opening them. Any idea what might have caused this? Did I forget to change a setting that I had done before?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Finder: View->Show View Options->Show icon preview

When I do that the only options I get are:

-Show icons
-Show preview column

Both of these options are selected.

Then you are in list view. You only get the icon previews (and therefore the switch to turn them on) in icon view.

Well, thanks.... I feel pretty stupid right now. I was trying to turn it on in the finder window for the desktop, but was indeed viewing it in column mode, wow...
