I have a large monitor, and each time I go from an application window to the menu bar my cursor turns to an I-beam. I've looked and looked but I can't find a way to make it maintain the arrowhead. Is that possible?

Thank you

I have seen that happen on Windows computers but not on my Macs. My guess is that you are running a program that alters the cursor and leaves a side-effect. Try keeping track of the programs that are open when this happens and you might be able to identify the problem application. There is also a small chance that once you run the problem application that the cursor will be wacked until you reboot. You'll have to conduct some tests to be sure.
