All of a sudden my G5 is asking for my user name and password so something got corrupted or re-set. How to I reset it so my computer just starts without asking for my password etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.

What application(s) are you using when it asks for your password?

In Preferences, select the Accounts pref., fifth row down first on the left, choose Login Options at the bottom of the account list on the left, and make sure 'Automatically log in as' is checked.
