Heyhey all-

I have my Mac Pro's ATI X1900 hooked up to a Dell 24" and a Samsung TV- How do I turn off the Samsung TV when I don't need it? I only use it when I'm playing a movie through it or something- not as an extra monitor. Is there a way to turn it off and on so that I don't constantly have my mouse moving over to it and getting lost?

Thanks in advance!

Try going to System Preferences>Displays and then check the box that says "Mirror Displays." This way both TV and the monitor will show the same thing but at least you can turn off the TV without having the cusor move off of the monitor. That may help.

The Samsung display doesn't support 1920x1200, so I would be limited to the lowest common resolution of 1360x768- No good. 8(

I'm not sure there is a way to do this. I remember when I had a wonky graphics card that thought I had a second display attached all the time (a phantom display), and I could find no answer as to whether it could be turned off by software. Maybe you can look up information specific to your ATI card, I'd be interested in hearing if it's possible now.
