I have a Powerbook G4 and it's backed up to a external FW800 drive via SuperDuper. I would like to basically copy my Powerbook to an Intel Mac Mini.

Is it possible to do this? Either through doing a restore on the MacMini using the PPC backup, or some other way?

You could copy individual files (documents, not system files) over. Some apps would probably still work, although you'd benefit from locating the universal binary versions if they exist. But I don't think restoring the whole OS and all files would end up working out.

Not a chance. Two totally different and incompatible CPU architectures. Try filling your gasoline powered car with diesel and see how far you get.

You can't restore a PowerPC system install onto an Intel Mac. As others said, the PowerPC system code just won't run on x86. However, you can probably accomplish what you're trying to do with the Migration Assistant program (in /Applications/Utilities). It allows you to copy users, settings, programs and documents from one Mac to another quite easily.

No, it will definitely not work.
But you can use Migration Assistant to transfer your settings, Applications and data.
