I got a processor upgrade for my Sawtooth but I require a firmware upgrade as well. However, I can only get that firmware upgrade with OS 9.1 or later.

Here's the kicker, I don't have OS 9 or a copy of OS 9. Anyone know a way around this?

This reminds me of the "To upgrade my web browser I had to install a 5 year old operating system" story.

Does that mean I'm screwed until I get a copy of OS9?

There's nothing illegal about getting OS 9 on a machine that has a license for it. You can just find someone with an OS 9 System Folder on their drive and copy it over to your system.

I got a copy of OS 9, but something isn't right. It boots into OS 9 with no problem, however, I can't use keyboard commands or click with the mouse. The mouse cursor moves, but that's it. If I restart, I get the message that the disk needs to be verified, which it does, and then I can click on ok, then proceed to the desktop but have the no clicking problem. I tried a desktop rebuild, but couldn't click the prompt to allow it.

Boot without extensions? That's what I am going to try when I get home.
