A few days ago I tried to use my MacBook under target mode with my powermac G4 and didn´t have any luck, the MB is not showing up on the G4 desktop.
The G4 is running 10.3.7 if I´m not mistaken and 10.4.8 on the MB.
Any ideas?

Did you get the firewire logo on the MB?

The partition map that is required to boot an Intel Mac is different to that of a PPC Mac - I don't know if this is the case, but perhaps 10.3.x isn't able to recognise it and therefore you can't mount the MB in Target Disk mode?
