I accidentally deleted the default Network Icon that resides on the Finder window, underneath the iDisk icon. It went in a plume of smoke, and now:

1.) I cannot get it back! Why!? How stupid you cannot simply drag and drop from the Computer window to the finder window. You can do this with anything else.

2.) Now my computer will not recognize any computers on the network by default - I have to manually connect to a computer using Apple K and the afp:/ address.

Help! I can't believe Apple would do something so stupid in their OS... that by deleting a shortcut, I've killed functionality and cannot restore it?

Finder Menu • Preferences • Sidebar • Network

I found the answer - in case anyone else does the same. BIG flaw from Apple in that they don't simply make it drag and drop. VERY inconsistent with all of their other HIG continuity.
