I have recently added a second monitor to my setup. I can move Photoshop/Illustrator/Email etc on the monitor. I cannot slide across any opened tab boxes (Style sheets/Color windows/Layers etc) from the edge of the G5 onto the new monitor. Help! please..

if they are docked to the side of the screen, you need to pull them off then re-dock them to the other screen, see if that does it.

Sorry, not the program icons but the pop up windows inside InDesign that allow you to quickly cahnge color, make type charactieristic, link and such. They show up on the right hand side of the iMac when I fire up InDesign. I can move the Photoshop & Illustrator pop up windows but ni InDesign - too the other monitor. Sorry, I am not explaining myself very well.

what I meant was grab the tab and pull it off the side, then move the pallet to your other screen.

If you are talking about the pop up menus that come from that main application bar, there is a setting in the System Preferences/Displays menu (look in the Applications folder for System Preferences) that allows you to drag the location of the main menu bar. That would allow you to drage the main menues to the other monitor so the pop-ups appear there.

Explore all the tabs in the Display menu to find this feature. It does not show on my G4 Powerbook because I have one monitor at the moment.
