I went down and looked at my machine again (won't boot -- posted a bit ago about the lengthy message I got in single-user mode.

At the top, it says it's "using 1966 buffer headers and 1966 cluster IO buffer headers.

Then it says;
"Adaptec warning: resetting SCSI bus
Firewire (OHCI) TI ID 8020 built-in now active, GUID 003065ff fed2a75ai
max speed s400

I have n idea what's going on...
