How can I have a networked user account on two Macs? By "networked" I mean if I am using one of my Macs and add a document to the Desktop, then I go login to my other Mac, the document I just added would show up on my Desktop.

You can do this with OS X server. Otherwise, you should just work with a common network volume.

How do you setup a common network volume?

There are also synchronization tools available that will sync files between two systems.

Create a user (e. g. `shared') on one of the systems, activate Sharing on that system in the System Prefs and then log in onto that machine as the user `shared'.
