The easiest thing to do would be to start the new machine in Firewire target disk mode, then use either Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper to clone the old machine to the new, via Firewire.

I just used SuperDuper to copy my drive onto a new internal drive I just installed in my G5. Worked like a charm.

I'd recommend using Apple's built in Migration Assistant. Start up the old machine while holding down the T key, then connect both computers using a firewire cable (FW 800 if possible). Open Migration Assistant (in the Utilities folder) and follow the steps to transfer all of your info. That way you get the benefits of a fresh install of OS X with all of your docs, apps, and settings staying the same.

Either Migration Assistant or Apple Software Restore.

• /Applications/Utilities/DiskUtility > Restore
• Drag source partition to 'source' field, drag destination partition to 'destination' field
• Hit 'restore', done.

Any idea if Disk Utility can clone a Boot Camp (NTFS) partition?
