I've found that sometimes when I download files with Firefox (and I think Safari, can't remember now) they don't show up on the desktop. If I relaunch Finder, there they are.

Any reason for this to be happening?
MBP 2.16ghz 15"
iMac G5 1.6Ghz 17"
