Very strange one.
I frequent a coffee shop that has free wireless network and I just got a refurbished MacBook Pro from the Apple Store.
I have no problems on any other of the four wireless networks I frequent, but at this coffee shop I *sometimes* have connectivety problems but I also have get several kernal panics. Three in one sitting one day!
Let me say that I NEVER had a kernal panic anywhere else. Only when I am on this specific wireless network. I have also saw another person at the shop with a MacBook have a Kernal Panic but at the time I did not put two and two together.
The other problem is that the logs are not able to write any data to the crash reporter. All I get is below, which are the dump from the three crashes:
Sat Apr 28 11:07:08 2007 crashdump[121]: crashdump invoked as panicdump
Sat Apr 28 11:59:15 2007 crashdump[103]: crashdump invoked as panicdump
Sat Apr 28 12:52:42 2007 crashdump[104]: crashdump invoked as panicdump
I am running 10.4.9 with all the available updates.
Any ideas? I am working on finding out what type of router they use.

Does the coffee shop use encryption on the network?
Are you sure you have all updates? Software Update says there is nothing available?
Try this: go to the Apple website and get the Airport 2007-002 update and install it:
Apple - Support - Downloads - AirPort Extreme Update 2007-002
After that, run Software Update again just to make sure you have all the updates.
Like clockwork, I was getting the same KP when I would move from my campus unencrypted wireless network to my WPA2 encrypted network at home (every day). This update seemed to fix it; I've been panic-free ever since the update came out.

No, the wireless network is not encrypted. It is a public Wi-Fi network ( http://www.tocwireless.net)
Yes, I was sure I had all updates. (And I specifically remember the Aiprort Update) One thing I want to add here is that I manage and Airport Extreme Base Station for a local company. I am not going to install that softwrae after I reinstall my system again. (Yes, you read it right, I have to reinstall my sysytem)
OK, I went and downlaoded Airport 2007-002 update, installed it, restarted. It took a loooooong time for the blue start up bar to finish and then did nothing. Then out of nowhere a login window appeared. Tried to put in my username and password and it would not take it. Restarted holding shift, nothing. Rebooted off of an external drive, repaired permissions, check disk, rebooted, same problem.
At this point I think it has something to do with the Airport Extreme Base Sation Software. Well, I will get to test it out today.
Thansk for your help, really, it was a good thing my system crashed and do not think for a minute you did anything wrong. "With suffering comes great knowledge."
