Hi all,
Quick question that I hope someone can answer. When I go to the "Go" menu on the menubar and select the network icon, it does nothing. Any ideas why this would happen all of a sudden?
The network icon had disappeared from the Sidebar, and I had to go into the preferences and turn it back on, but the above problem is still bothering me.
Is there some way to reset it to work again?
Thanks for any tips.
Chris

Yeah, came back in today and the network icon was gone from the preview pane again. This is weird.
Is there some kind of utility that can set things back to default without having to reformat/reinstall?

does Cmd-shift-K open a network window or a window with a network icon

I had the same issue with my MBP. One day I just couldn't access the network through the Go menu, nor could I access the network any other way. I had several windows machines with shares that I regularly used and for days I couldn't access them.
After giving up, a few days later it was working fine and I don't really remember doing anything to fix it.
I've only been using macs for a few years but I am a Network Admin, and this had me pretty baffled.
It has been the only big problem I've had with my MBP and I hope it doesn't happen again, I'd really like to find out what caused it.

I tried cmd-shift-k but it doesnt open anything. Actually, the window opens for a split second then disappears.
I'm using the latest version of OS X, fully patched.
It's not such a big deal as the network can be accessed other ways, it's just more baffling to me than anything.
Thanks for the help.
