How do I disable isynch?

Does anyone know how to disable isynch? It is very irrititating and time wasting as finder wndows pop up every few minutes over the work I am doing and I have to close them, this is happening every 5 minutes. When I try to go into isync to change prefs or disable it wont let me unless i renew my subscription which I would never do as I found it pretty hopeless.
