hi guys,
sorry for the typical newbie questions i've been putting on this forum, but here goes....

i could be wrong, but as far as i can remember, when (as in earlier today) i moved along items in the dock, a sound effect accompanied the move between the dock icons. For some reason, this sound effect now no longer accompanies said action. Anyone any ideas why? Know this isnt a big deal, but its just really annoying me...

Do you have the system-wide volume muted?

no all volume is turned up , and 'play user interface sound effects' is also checked in system prefs.

Other sounds are all normal? You might want to think a bit more about thread titles, too...

There is no sound effect when you move the mouse pointer over icons in the Dock or when you reorder items in the Dock. The only sound effect is the "Poof" sound when you remove items from the Dock.

I thought that was the sound he was saying was missing. There is definitely no sound for scrubbing the dock.
