hmm. I've got two printers installed on my mini an A3+ qms 330 and an a 4 qms 2350, both colour lasers. All OK so far and for the last few years.

Today!!! Suddenly both printers are described as generic postscripts locking access to most of the page size features (and limiting the 330 to A4 only. So I reinstalled both machines ppd's. When I go to setup I can navigate to the correct ppd and select it and the stystem shows the correect machine...for 10 seconds then it reverts to generic post script.

Restarted, deleted ppd's and reinstalled, restarted. Any ideas what's happening?

How are they connected to your computer? My suspicion is that this might be a USB issue - have you tried connecting one of them directly to your machine?

Hmmm, then scratch that, but I think it still might be a connection issue - have you tried connecting one of them directly? The fact that you get the right thing briefly makes me think this is the issue.
