restoring lost icon on dock - @ sign that goes to mac website

At the bottom right side of the dock is an icon that looks like an @ sign on a sping. Clicking on this icon loads the mac website at:

Apple - Apple - Mac OS X - Leopard Sneak Peek

This icon was deleted - how do we restore it to the dock?

Goto the apple website.....drag the icon next to http://etc .....place it next to the trash can

This can be done for any website

That restores the functionality, but not the icon. How do we restore the icon as it was on the Dock?

That does......it restores the spring icon.... at least it does on mine


You must have deleted the actual icon...

AHA. To get the spring icon one needs to use Safari and then drag to the dock from Safari. It didn't work when I drug it to the dock from Firefox.

(one should always use safari )
