Somewhere between OS X 10.4.6 and 10.4.9, "translated" -- the infamous Rosetta translation daemon/caching thing -- performed a vanishing act.

Can anyone confirm that "translated" no longer shows up as an active process when you run a PowerPC application? And also ...

[root@Zeus]/Users/Tom: find / -name translated -print
... gives me no results.

Not sure what happened (wasn't paying attention too closely before), but in the 10.4.10 update, this got my attention: /usr/libexec/oah/translate. oah = Other Architecture Handler.
