Hi,

I have a problem here - whenever I start a program I get a dump to the console saying that "com.apple Services Server" lookup failed. It goes further so the process "pbs" crashes because of this

It means that I cannot see the "Services menu" in any programs, copy-paste doesn't work (presumably because of "pbs" crashing....), and many programs hang when I try to open files. Any idea where I can find "services server"?? I would like to replace just a few files from backup, rather than having to replace with a full backup or reinstall the system.

I used the program "ServiceScrubber" before I got these problems, so I presume that may cause the problem - there's no easy way of returning everything to the previous state though!

Running Mac OS 10.4.10 on a G4 PB 1.5

Well I definitely think Service Scrubber was what caused this -- it's fudging with the services menu stuff and it looks like it made a mistake. I don't know, though, how to fix it. This may be a time you need to do an archive and install.
