I think this is the most appropriate forum for this...

So in the past couple of days, I've noticed when I open dashboard all the widget's fonts are screwed up. They are all using the "Helvetica" font, as though some fonts were deleted. Well, when I go into Font Book, it is revealed that the "User" fonts are disabled. I enable them, Log Out and in, and the dashboard is fixed. Then, next time I start up, it happens again. And the weird thing is, everything is fine at first, just halfway through a session, Dashboard loses it's fonts.

How do I get the frickin' "User" font collection to STAY enabled?!!

Dashboard widgets should be using system fonts, not user fonts, have you played around with your system font directory by any chance?

No, and that's why it's so weird that enabling my user fonts works...

I just realized that somehow a whole buch of fonts were uninstalled, so I reinstalled them -in the USER folder- and dashboard looks good now... I don't get it.

You could try Font Doctor if you're still worried about it all..?

I still find it odd that you can disable dashboard fonts, ah well.
