Is anyone else getting the quicktime symbol transparent then with a question mark in the middle? I cant watch youtube or anything that utilizes quicktime. It all started when I updated my quicktime and Itunes

How can I fix this?

As a guess, I would close Quicktime and then delete ~/Library/Preferences/Quicktime Preferences and then try it. Then check the System Preferences pane and click on the QuickTime icon and scan all the tabs to see if anything looks odd.

Did you also install Flip4Mac or other Quicktime Add-ins? You might want to be sure that all of those are updated. You might be able to do this from the System Preferences pane, click the Quicktime icon, then look at the "update" tab and click the button.

You might also need to delete the preferences for your browser.

You could also try deleting Quicktime and downloading it fresh (if you are using the free version).
