I tried to set my Energy Options to wake my computer at 2:00 AM and then I set my backup program to backup at 2:03 AM (to give it time to make sure it was awake). For some reason, it never backed up. Is there something I'm doing wrong? My computer is set to go to sleep after 15 minutes, so I know it's not timing out.

What backup software are you using? I've had problems with Energy Saver wake options in the past, so I typically rely on my backup app to wake the Mac now.
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.

Do you use the Screensaver password option at all? If so, because you don't log in when the machine wakes due to the schedule, the system assumes it is an accidental wake event and will subsequently go back to sleep again after about 30s or a minute. This is a problem I came across when I first started using my EyeTV software. To work around it, to maintain my system security I have to manually fast user switch to a second user running a Simple User account that is as locked down as is possible, and leave the password option for the screensaver off.

Check out Decimus Software - Makers of Synk. I have Synk Pro and it will turn on computer whenever to run a backup and can be set to shut it down when it's done. Very nice program (as are Synk Backup and Synk Standard).
