I bought a MacBook Pro about a year ago and i LOVE it. I'd like to get an Apple desktop, but I can't afford it right now. I was wondering if i could purchase another copy of OSX and install it on my PC desktop. Has anyone successfully installed OSX on a PC? I've seen some tutorials online, but it looks like they are all emulating OSX and it's not running natively. Shouldn't I be able to somehow install 10.4 natively on a PC? After all it's basically the same type of hardware that is in a Mac now. Any help would be appreciated.

You should probably take this elsewhere.

YOU CAN'T TALK ABOUT HACKINTOSH ON THIS FORUM.
Installing OS X on non-Apple hardware is, unfortunately, a direct violation of Apple's EULA on their operating system. It's doable, but nobody here is going to tell you how to do it, because discussing it risks getting the forum admins into a legal snafu.

While I'll not yell at you
Shifuimam is correct. You cannot legally install OSX on a pc and it will not install out of the box.
My recomendation is for you to find an inexpensive Mac on ebay.

Ditto. And I wasn't really upset or anything, I just didn't want you to get in trouble with the admins right after you signed up on the forums.
If you want a Mac desktop and do a lot of web stuff (especially YouTube), I would advise against getting anything with a G3 processor in it. Try a G4 iMac. The last revision of them has USB 2.0 and Airport Extreme (802.11g wireless - the cards are MUCH cheaper than the 802.11b Airport cards) and should serve all your needs. You can probably find one for under $400.
Otherwise, I'd recommend just buying a bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo (Logitech makes some excellent ones that run rings around Apple's offerings) and an external monitor, and use your MBP like a desktop when you're at home.

Yes, we EMPHATICALLY will not discuss helping people violate license agreements, and we're particularly sensitive about Apple license agreements. And the OS X license agreement specifically states that the user agrees to install the OS on Apple-branded equipment. Violating the license agreement could conceivably harm Apple, and who would want to hurt Apple?
So if you really want to do this, go search the web; there are no doubt many sites that will help you. But we won't be part of it.
Otherwise, shufiman has posted some great ideas. Older, but still quite capable Macs are all over the place, and not terribly expensive.
