I'm not saying it's a rumor so call it a prediction.

Apple is working on new color themes for the next gen iPods, iMacs, and laptop range.

The colors will be royal blue, racing green, wine red, matte black, and graphite aluminum.

The new iPods will be completely clad in the new color of your choice above and feature a new screen and input. White iPods will still be available but phased out slowly in favor of aluminum.

The next iMacs will have the colors applied to the back of the case.

The next MacBook Pro will have see the colors applied to the back of the LCD screens and the Apple logo will be shiny black.

Don't know about Mac Pros or MacBooks but expect some of the same.

It doesn't end there. Apple deliberately didn't complete the appearance settings and interface elements in developer builds of Leopard to hide these new themes.

The Aqua widgets and scroll bars will be flattened. The traffic light widgets (close, minimize and maximize) will change to a more pastel colored (red wine, pastel yellow, racing green) engraved look from today's gumdrop style. Widgets, scroll bars and menu highlights can also be changed to red wine, graphite, black, royal blue and racing green colors to suit your next gen Mac's color theme. All from the Appearance system preference.

Pastel refers to crayon colors which are available in many color tones.

The new Apple range will be like the royal blue, racing green and wine red in this pic

this is the color themes that will be available

Apple, Sony and Dell will be using similar color themes on their products for the coming year because they're going to be in fashion, in clothing, ads, tv, etc. Factories in Asia tip off companies in advance about which direction the fashion trade is moving in. Pastel is the new black in upcoming fashions.

Whoa. I didn't see that before. It looks fake. The colors are not the ones Apple will use.

dude, why post inside info here? Apple could just subpoena macnn for your IP, then get your ISP to reveal your identity, then apple takes you to court for trade secrets or other crap.

It is a prediction based on rumor. I have no trade secrets.

I think it's a great idea. Those color schemes would be really nice imo. But for the love of god, let us keep our Aqua and Graphite! But we do need more than just those two. Even Redmond's got a bunch of color options now.

I don’t know where you get your red wine, but if it has a pastel color I’d take it back.

It would be better if they would let us choose our own colour schemes for the screen, the way Windows does. I like having freedom of choice.

Get thee to a Linuxery. Apple has many good qualities, but freedom of choice is not one of them.
