Just out of curiosity I run the disk utility and... it found a failure that it cannot recover... The machine seems to work well but I want to repair this error.
What can I do?
thank you

Boot from your OS X install/restore disc. Try running it that way. Often you can't make certain changes to the boot drive while running disk utility from it.
In case running it from the install DVD doesn't do the trick, I'd try fsck in single-user mode first (especially to see what error messages come up) before I spend money on any commercial tool.
