Hi Pedro, First, try this:
Start up into Safe Mode:

Be sure the computer is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the Shift key.
Tip: The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple and progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).

If this works, go to: AppleJack 1.4.3 - Mac OS X - VersionTracker and download applejack, install it and restart your computer holding down the command and S keys. You will now see text scrolling on screen, it will stop and you will see the instructions to run Applejack. Choose the automatic mode, then when it is done follow the instructions to restart.

If booting in safe mode does not work, post back.

Good luck

Did you try reinstalling OS X again? I did have a problem once when I installed OS X and it didn't work, but I reinstalled again it and it was fine.
