I am unable to get the screenshot procedure to work on my admin account. Cmd-shift-3 or -4 do not place any picture on my desktop. It works fine with my standard account. Cmd-Ctrl-shift-3 and -4 do place the image into the clipboard of the admin account, however. How would I fix this problem?

First thing I'd do is check in System Preferences to make sure I haven't changed the shortcuts by accident.

I checked those. They are the same as they were originally. I still get the sound effect that goes with the screen shot, but the picture icon never appears.

When you type the following into Spotlight:

kind:image date:today

does it find them?

Did you reboot?

I looked for the pictures afterwards. They were not there. Someone on another forum finally gave me the answer. I removed com.apple.screencapture.plist. After I restarted the computer, the problem was gone. Thanks for trying anyway.
