i bought a g3 today from someone just to get my feet wet with apple...couple of questions.. this is not the operating that came with the computer, the guy i bought it from just had it loaded, but could not give me the disk...

1. i tryed to get on appled disscussion, but stated the evening phone number was incorrect, is this because i did not install the original version that came with the computer.. or because i have not registered the 10.3, which i probably cannot due to the fact the seller kept it.

2. also, running it on a w2207 hp monitor, is 1680 x 1050.. i go into preferences , diplay, and select that resolution..but when i hit the + sign on safari, it only opens, it does not open the above resoltion.. only like 1024 x 768...what is wrong

Search this forum for switcher tips.

The "+" widget is NOT "maximize". There is no auto-maximize function on the Mac.

Welcome to Macintosh.
