Hi there!
I've got the Original DVDs of MAC OS 10.4.7!
And I need to use it on VMware on my Windows XP + SP2!
Now, I know how VMware works in every aspect, I just want to know, what should I do to make an image of those MAC OSX DVDs!!

Windows doesnt reads the HFS filesystem, but I can use Isobuster to extract the files and do so and save all the files into Respective .iso files, but I do not know if that would work!

So PLEASE, anyone, do tell me how can I do this! Which utility should I use to make it an image file for VMware!

Please!!!! Thank you!!!!

You need to buy a Mac to use OSX, otherwise its illegal.

It can be done, but per the forum rules we can't help you with it here.

Nope, it can't. Good catch on that detail. I missed it the first time I saw this thread. If he's got the retail 10.4.7 DVD, then there is no way he can run it on a PC or in VMWare since it's the PowerPC version.

I'm guessing he's thinking of PearPC.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

That's silly. Who'd run Mac OS X PPC under PearPC under VMWare under Windows?

Well, I'm guessing he'd leave the VMWare part out.

True... I was just going by what mduell said about VMWare running PPC code.

This seems like kind of a gray area, technically one could load Mac OS X on VMWare on a Mac and it wouldn't break the license agreement technically...

Oh, never mind. He explicitly said on his PC. Yeah. Don't be lame, buy a Mac.

IIRC the EULA also prohibits virtualization, just like Vista Home.

I don't see any such clause in the EULA.
