I expect a 2.8GHz iMac here this week to replace my 1.42GHz DP FW MDD. I have little knowledge or experience with the Intel side of the Mac environment. Have many apps installed (Including Adobe CS2 with a CS3 upgrade box sitting here, and Office 2004), but I would prefer to start cold and reinstall these apps from scratch. (I'm assuming that Migration Assistant would let me import my user settings and accounts without importing applications.)

Is there a good website out there for people about to launch on this conversion? I don't know what's up with Parallels and BootCamp, want to reinstall as many apps as possible in Intel format, and a bunch of stuff like that*.

I don't want to clog up this forum with newbie questions. Is there a reliable website dedicated to this issue?

*For example I would like to partition my drive before installing, both for any Windows emulation needs and because I prefer a Files partition to the OSX "User/Documents" arrangement.
