I am just wondering if it is possible to use your iDisk as a drive for Time Machine as I have upgraded my iDisk to 40Gb and as i am using a macbook pro and it would be too clunky to carry around a external drive just for a backup drive?

No, you still use Backup to back up to your iDisk.

Why would you want this? Time Machine is meant to be used as a full system backup utility. The amount of storage offered by .Mac won't be able to cover this goal by a long shot.

And the time required to transfer gigs of data would be ridiculous.
