Currently running 10.2.8 trying to upgrade to 10.4.6. While "Checking your installation CD" I get a black box with message "You need to restart your computer" in several languages (progress bar gets anywhere to 2% to 25% percent done before I get the message). My computer is a mirror front G4. We have contacted Apple and recieved new install disks, have ran mulitple RAM tests from several different programs, have tried the custom install just to eliminate things, all to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advcance.

That's a Kernel Panic. Sounds like a bad disc given what you said about the point at which it's failing.
