My MBP menu bar isnt transparent in leopard?WTF

I don't understand why my menu bar isn't transparent. I have a brand new MBP 2.4Ghz this machine should have a transparent bar and blurred menus. Any ideas?

I have a 2.4 GHz MBP too. I quickly did a Leopard install over a clone I had on an external backup drive just to see what it's like. My Leopard installation definitely had a transparent menu bar. Actually it was so transparent I realized my old desktop background wouldn't work well with Leopard at all.

It is only slightly transparent. Use the Stary Pink Universe DP picture and you'll see a star peeking behind the View Menu in safari
